"I am an artist, I use tools to create my art, my favorite tool is a camera...."

 

George is an award winning Hollywood  director, cinematographer, and a published author living in Park City, Utah. Photography has been his hobby ever since his dad gave him his first camera when he was just 12 years old while living in the post WW II Europe. Graduate of Film School in Prague, he also worked for the Czech Film Studios as a camera assistant and a camera operator.  He escaped communist Czechoslovakia and came to America where he spend 40 years working in Hollywood. While directing behind the film cameras, his passion for still photography remained his #1 hobby. He is an active member of the American Society of Cinematographers (the ASC), and an inactive member of DGA, SAG and a Hollywood Cameramen's local #600. After retiring from the entertainment industry, he found his home in Park City where he pursued his love for photography, and spending the winters teaching skiing at the Park City Moutain Resort. Currently, he divides his photography between his passion working with people and landscape and nature photography.
